WHAT IS UP WITH THE GAY PROTEST IN LEBANON?

I know alot of people from Lebanon and a lot of them are shite and some sunni so i dont have anything really against the people of Lebanon in general, however i think that because people in Lebanon speak Arabic and its considered an Arab country that people automatically think 'Muslims" when they hear something about Lebanon and the truth of the matter is that this whole Gay rights thing is actually the Christians in Lebanon, not the Muslims (and i am not saying that the Muslim community has not suffered from this illness but not in this case where Lebanon is concerned). Also most Lebanese people are descendants of the Phoenicians and not Arabs. So basically my question is what is your thoughts on this whole gay rights thing in the middle east.
